* They are designed for child who are ready to start heading for the potty, such as the ability to:

1. follow simple instructions
2. understand words about the toileting process
3. control the muscles responsible for elimination
4. express a need to go verbally
5. keep a diaper dry for 2 hours or more
6. get to the potty, sit on it, and then get off the potty
7. pull down diapers, disposable training pants, or underpants
